Startup Idea: Custom Order Management Software for Collegiate Spirit Shops

Startup idea to develop a software solution that streamlines custom order quotations in collegiate spirit shops. This software should tackle the specifications of various products such as types and colors of substrates, prints, and artwork management.

I am the collegiate licensing director of a major spirit shop at at Big 10 University. One of the challenges we have is with custom order quotations. There are so many moving parts - qty, color of substrate, type of substrate - glass, clothing, wall canvas etc, not to mention particulars WITHIN each category - carolina blue vs navy blue vs air force blue. A blend shirt -50/50 vs 100% cotton vs 75% polyester etc etc, that a software solution would lend itself to this dilemma. Also, keep in mind that the artwork to be printed on the substrate must be managed in most cases. Rare is the person providing vector or eps art according to specs. So, this all has to be coordinated with the art department! I'm sure everyone in this field is challenged by the complexities of these orders.
