Startup Idea: Automated Maintenance Reminder for Auto Services

Startup idea to create a software solution connecting auto services with new car owners by accessing automobile purchase databases. The solution informs customers about the importance of auto maintenance and provides reminders for regular service. An extension could also automatically contact nearby auto services in case of a vehicle breakdown.

I work at Midas Auto Service. We mainly deal with automobile maintenance services. The norm at this industry has always been walk in customers and repeat customers. It is high time that changed. As competition increases, almost everyone is finding it hard to get going.

I think this is a problem a soft solution can easily with. Every new automobile purchase is registered. All the solution needs to do is to access this database, or even an app that interested people can download would suffice. The customer needed to be first of all informed about what auto maintenance means, most of them think they can do it themselves. And then most importantly they need to be reminded to visit an auto maintenance service near to them. If there is an extension to this that can be installed in the vehicle itself that automatically informs an auto service in the area if there is breakdown or something, i believe both the customers and the industry itself would totally rely on such a service.
