I am in retail furniture sales for a small family owned business. A huge problem in our industry has been it's reluctance to embrace the digital age in regards to sales tools for the selling staff. My store still relies on outdated methods of tracking customer interactions and when to follow up with them. What would be very helpful would be a tablet based app which could be loaded onto individual tablets which would then be assigned to each member of the sales team. This app would be helpful as a "customer opportunity" tracker which would allow me to input each potential customer I interact with on a daily basis. I could then input their name and any contact info I received from them as well as products of interest. Another useful feature would be the ability to schedule a follow up call reminder for the salesperson right from within this app. I have searched online for tablet based solutions to this problem and found none that fit my needs. We currently solve this problem through the unreliable use of hand scribbled notes which can easily be lost.
