Startup Idea: Automated Software Update Checker for Mac OS

Summary for idea #1141
Startup idea to develop a software that checks for updates for multiple software titles in a unified platform for Mac OS. The software should not require local installation of the tracked software, automate checks at regular intervals and send notifications about available updates.

In one of my roles at my job it is a daily task to check and see if there are updates to about 50 different software titles utilized in our organization. These titles range from Sophos antivirus to Microsoft suite of products, to Adobe suite of products. Every single one of these software titles requires a different method for checking to see if there are updates available. Some of the software is fairly easy to check, Microsoft has a website that lists current versions. Some of these software titles are awful, such as the Adobe creative suite. An idea would be to pull in all of these titles together under one pane of glass to see if there are updates available, without the need for installing the software locally (which is what I have to do today). This software could then be automated to run checks every couple of hours and send a notification to a group of stakeholders. We would absolutely pay to solve this problem since it is already costing us my time on a daily basis to complete these tasks and track the progress. I briefly looked but most/all solutions are geared towards a windows OS, whereas we are a Mac only shop. The problem is "solved" by me checking everything by hand, which is awful at best.
