Startup Idea: Parental Monitoring and Driving Safety App

Startup idea to develop an app that allows parents to monitor the driving speed of their young driver-age kids. If the kids don't want their speed monitored, they need to disable their phone, thus solving the issue of texting while driving. The app should include an 'emergency mode' for essential calls and ideally reduce phone functionality while driving to minimize distractions.

This is an idea that I have had for a while for an app. I have young driver-age kids and they are not the best about texting and driving. I think it is a good idea to have an app where parents can see how quickly their children are driving in the car and if the children do not want their parents to see how fast they are driving, they have to turn off the phone while they are in the car which solves the problem of texting and driving. There would of course have to be an emergency mode where they could call. I would like something where their phones do not work the same while they are driving so they are less distracted. I have tried to have them put the phones on airplane mode but they are inconsistent about it.
