Startup Idea: E-Banking Phishing Website Detection System

Startup idea to develop a system for detecting and predicting e-banking phishing websites. The system would use a data mining algorithm to analyze important characteristics of the website like URL, Domain Identity, security and encryption criteria to determine if it is a phishing site. This could help increase security for e-commerce enterprises and their users.

There are e- banking websites who ask users to provide sensitive data such as their username, password or credit card details for malicious reasons.To detect and predict e-banking phishing websites I propose a system based on Data mining algorithm. By implementing classification algorithm and techniques to extract phishing data. The e-banking phishing websites can be detected based on some important characteristics like their URL, Domain Identity, security and encryption criteria in the final phishing detection phase. Once a user makes a transaction online or makes a payment through an e-banking website our system will use data mining algorithm to detect whether the e-banking website is a phishing website or not. This application should be created and used by many E-commerce enterprises in order to make the whole transaction process secure. Data mining algorithm used in this system provides better performance as compared to other traditional classifications algorithms. With the help of this system users can also purchase products online without any hesitation.
