Startup Idea: Manufacturing Management and Quality Control Software

Startup idea to develop a software solution for a manufacturing company that aids with managing and tracking sold items, monitoring warranty issues, quality control, and data collection for store keeping. The software should cater to multiple factories and simplify the process of updating data across locations. This system should also include backup measures to prevent data corruption or loss.

i am a manager and a quality control manager as well for a medium manufacturer company with 300 employees.

keeping track of sold items is a huge pain for we only write it in an excel file. expected services vs actual services done, monitoring warranty and warranty problems as well as monitoring items that failed quality real time factory location and data collection for store keeping.

our idea of a solution is a software that is link to each other or that communicates with one another. or the software can be updated via usb from the other factory because we have 2 factories that is somewhat distant. so it is really tiring to jump to one place to another. so if a software can be done it will really help our company as well as other manufacturing companies our disadvantage without a software is we lose revenue due to the disorganized files and lack of storage place for it and even backup.

monitoring and analyzing the data on a single computer station is very convenient, effective and helpful as well. yes we tried. we hired an encoder which he encodes all the data in one computer. and we thought that they where taking good care of the data and have a backup of the files. the file was so large it became corrupted. we lost all the data from 2008 to 2009 there was no solution to the problem but to replace all the missing data with the new one and lost revenue along the way.
