Startup Idea: Hotel Key Management Software

Startup idea to develop a software or device solution that enables hotels to effectively manage their keys by reminding guests to return them or notifying the front desk upon check out, thus improving housekeeping efficiency and guest experience.

As en employee at a hotel, it is hard to tell when guests check out because they do not always bring the keys back to the desk. They leave them in the room and just leave. If had some kind of program that could remind guests to return keys. Or some kind of device that you could send a message to the front desk that they are leaving. It would make it alot easier for housekeeping to know if the guest was gone or not. Constant knocking on doors can aggravate them. We have no solution to this problem. We knock, if they answer we ask them when they are planning on leaving. But this gives them the sense that they need to rush.
