Startup Idea: Automated Court Filing Name Parser for Law Firms

Summary for idea #1208
Startup idea to develop a software program that automates the task of entering party names into the electronic court filing system, significantly reducing labor costs while increasing efficiency. This program should be capable of parsing names and sending them to the server, potentially saving thousands of mouse clicks and copy-pasting tasks. Law firms might be interested as this automation can cut down several months of work and they are willing to pay for such solution specifically targeted for the Southern district of NY.

I am a paralegal for 3 years. One of the most labor intensive yet skill-less tasks is entering party names into the electronic court filing system, specifically in the Southern district of NY. For large cases, one can expect to spend months adding names into the system.

A good portion of this task can be automated with the used of form fillers leaving only one part necessary for a program - the ability to parse names names and send them to the server. I believe with the right skill set your should be able to write a program to automate task in court filing systems that normally take thousands of mouse clicks and copy and pasting. Law Firms will pay a minimum of 500 per license if a trial is available for testing with their particular court.
