Startup Idea: Crowdsourced Weather Forecasting System

Startup idea to create a web application where users provide real-time temperature, humidity, and wind input, with the software leveraging historical data to deliver more accurate weather predictions.

I am currently employed for a local news station and think that with input from the general public I believe they our station could better forecast the predicted weather. I would like a system built that would take into account parameters such as temperature, humidity and wind. This system is a web application with effective graphical user interface. General users will login to the system using his user ID and password. User will enter current temperature; humidity and wind, System will take this parameter and will predict weather from previous data in database. Administrator users will add previous weather data in database, so that system will calculate weather based on this date in order to provide a reliable forecast. I think with the creation of this software that people around the world would use it because almost everyone would like a more reliable weather forecast than what we currently get from the news stations. Hopefully my news station won't hear about this!.
