Startup Idea: User-friendly Construction Management Software
In the construction industry there are currently programs to track RFI's (requests for information), Submittals, and Pay sequences to subcontractors, but most of this technology is extremely unfriendly to the user and does not allow for a very easy understanding.
For one thing, a program should easy to input data and edit it accordingly. It should also allow one to use an app on a tablet that would allow for pictures and/or marked up plans to be sent and documented with RFI's.
Another good idea is to have a checklist of submitted products so a project engineer or superintendant can easily walk onto site and check of shipments to ensure that they are getting the appliances and equipment that they paid and that the product meets the specification that was agreed upon either in the contract or coincides with the owners selection.
