Startup Idea: Freight Rate Comparison Software

Startup idea to develop a software solution that simplifies the process of freight rate comparisons. Users can enter shipping data and get calculated rates from different logistic companies in one place. This streamlines the process for both industry professionals and customers, saving time and reducing the stress of making multiple calls to find the best rates.

I work in the transportation and logistics industry. I spend much of my day calling on clients and selling our logistics' services. However, most clients will not say "yes" immediately, but prefer to shop around for the lowest cost. This results in myself and clients have to call upwards of 10 companies to find rates. If there were a software that myself or customers could enter information and see all companies' rates at once such as: shipping location, shipping destination, freight weight, dates needed to be shipped, product being shipped; it would solve a lot of issues.

If I am shipping something from Los Angeles to Atlanta, I would love to be able to see every rate in the industry all at once. This would solve so many headaches for my industry. Sadly, this does not seem like a reality any time soon.
