Startup Idea: Employee Attendance Monitoring Software

Startup idea to develop a software solution that notifies management when a single-site employee does not log in to work by a certain time. This reduces delays in sourcing backup personnel and prevents loss of business due to employee absenteeism.

I work in the Managed Service field where other companies outsource certain labor intensive jobs to us, like mail room, production center, receptionist, copy center, Admin assistant.

The biggest pain point I have right now are at my single person sites (where I only have one employee on-site) when someone does not show up for work.

Right now, I have to rely on someone at the customer location to notice the employee is not at work. The customer then contacts me so I can source a back up.

This happens when my employee is out sick but does not inform me. By the time I find out and can get a back-up, most of the day has past and my company has to issue a credit for the lost day.

I would like a software that could notify me if the employee does not log in for work by a certain time in the morning.
