Startup Idea: Budgeting Software for Families

Startup idea to develop a user-friendly, streamlined, budgeting software application. The software only requires general information inputs like monthly bills, yearly costs, and income details. It automatically calculates the extra money available for spending each month. This simpler approach caters specifically to average households who need a less detailed but equally effective budgeting tool.

As the wife and mother in a household of 6 I have yet to find a good budgeting software. All of the apps and websites I have used to date require too much detail that I really don't need. I am looking for something that I can enter all the bills I pay each month, but in general terms, like credit cards, utilities, etc. include yearly costs like a vacation, our paychecks, and then will tell us how much we have extra available to spend each month. I think a more general software such as this would be much more beneficial for the average person than the highly detailed ones that already exist and are useful only for people who are already highly organized and detailed. I would pay for the right software, but being on a budget, wouldn't be able to spend a lot for it.
