Startup Idea: Enhacing Privacy Protection in EagleSoft Dental Management Software

Startup idea to develop a security enhancement for the dental management software, EagleSoft. The focus is on blocking all FTP servers that are unprotected and indexed, thereby protecting sensitive patient information from unauthorized access. The solution could potentially incorporate features similar to antivirus or anti-spyware software, possibly even using encryption.

Privacy Software Within EagleSoft Management Software

I'm a hygienist in a dental practice that has just recently started using a dental management software known as EagleSoft. With privacy a concern with many of our patients I did a little research and found private patient information located on an anonymous FTP server that allows anyone access. Over the course of a year many dentist have attempted to address this issue with the EagleSoft Distributor.

An Ideal solution would be a software system that blocked all FTP servers that have no protection and are indexed from anywhere to be blocked from any and all sensitive information within EagleSoft. I would think it could be programmed in the same way a antivirus or Anti spyware. The problem is everyone is authorized to visit an unprotected website that is open to the public. So with a new software implemented that possibly even used encryption all patient sensitive data could be protected.
