Startup Idea: Engine Parts Tracking Software for Supply Chains

Startup idea to design a robust system to track, sort, and merge data for all engine part numbers and parts for various engine programs. The tool should leverage SAP and Microsoft Access for enhancing data reporting accuracy and customer satisfaction.

I am a supply chain engineer/data analyst for a contractor that does work for Pratt and Whitney. The company is about 1000 employees and we are always striving for ways to improve our processes. One of those improvements that would benefit us greatly is a way to track and sort all engine part numbers and parts for every engine program we use, and have it be using a system that is stable enough to go in and out of.

At the moment all of this information is spread out through different programs and trying to merge that data together is a terrible user experience and results in, a lot of inaccurate data reporting. Having a tool that uses SAP and Microsoft Access to gather quantities by Engine Serial Number and Engine BOM would increase our workload tenfold, and make our customer extremely happy.
