Startup idea to develop a service for attorneys that integrates a database of participating attorneys and their prior client info. This could aid in running a prompt conflict check to ensure ethical representation, and accommodate last-minute schedule changes.

I am a solo attorney and have worked in a small firm. One of the problems that comes up often is scheduled court appearances running late, keeping an attorney from making the next appearance. This often leads to the attorney scrambling to find areplacement but that is tricky because a replacement really needs to run a conflict check to make sure they can ethically represent the client for that appearance. This would be a solution for a third party rather than an individual, but if there were a service integrating a database of participating attorneys and their prior client info, it could ease running a quick conflict check and protect both the clients and the multiple lawyers involved.
