I am an IT tech that works in a town where most people are not entirely caught up with technology. I have many people that are always inquiring about the status of their computer repair taking away valuable time.

I think it would be very helpful to have a software or add on to software that pulls information from the caller id, and match it with a user on file.

It then gives the option for a very brief status on the work.

Something as simple as "still waiting to be worked on", "currently being worked on" and "finished ready for pickup" with the option to then ask for more information from the tech.

It would then connect the client directly to the person who is working or has finished the computer work.
