Startup Idea: Efficient Data Sharing and Formatting Software for Data Analysts

Summary for idea #1481
Startup idea to develop a software that can automate the process of data summary sharing for remote teams. The tool will auto format the data into a neat PDF, determine the appropriate number of digits to display, and share the ready-to-view summary through emails or uploading on a website, relieving data analysts from manually formatting and sharing data files.

I am a data analyst for an organization. Most of my co workers and I work remotely. This makes sharing data difficult. Of course, there are things like Google Docs or dropbox to share files, but still most of the time I like to work with data internally so that I can use Python or Excel or whatever.

Additionally, when I share the data I just want to share the summary at first so the people can get a general idea of the results. PDFs are often easiest for this. However, taking and sharing a PDF in Excel is annoying. You have to format the rows and columns yourself so that they are the right size (but not that big). It would be nice of there was a software or a macro that you could click on to share. The button would color code the columns, figure out how many digits to show, and make a best guess to get it onto a normal sized PDF (that could also be shared). The button would then go ahead and send en email attachment to a set of e-mails, or possibly upload to a website.

I spend time playing around with converting to static files too much and then sharing, or just sending large data files because it takes less time, and that's annoying. Something to help with that would be useful!

I know this has "email" in it, but it is not an "e-mail" idea, as the topic suggests.
