Startup Idea: Software for Matching Coin Images with Online Listings

Summary for idea #15
Startup idea to develop a software that aids the seller in correctly identifying individual rare and valuable coins in their online listings. The envisioned solution would involve image recognition, by which each coin could be scanned and matched to its corresponding image that was previously uploaded to the listing.

I buy and sell rare and valuable coins, often via eBay or other online sales outlets. The difficulty is in keeping track of which exact coin matches up to which exact listing I've made for it on eBay.

For example, I may have 50 different 1952 Franklin half dollars for sale, and make separate and unique eBay listing for each one. I then have to come up with some way to make sure that each individual buyer is receiving the exact same coin that they bid on and saw pictures of. I have to make sure I don't get any of the 50 coins mixed up.

Also, I can't mark or attach anything to the coins or tag/label them in any way. I would pay for software that could help with this. I could imagine it working by letting me upload a high-quality images of the individual coin. Then after they're all imaged, I could scan a coin with my phone and it would batch it back up to exactly which one of the coins that was an image of.

This would make sure that I never get the coins mixed up and send a buyer a different 1952 Franklin half from the one they saw the images of.
