Startup Idea: Simplified Accounting Software for CPAs

Startup idea to develop a simpler and efficient accounting software that allows users to straightforwardly manage write-ups, after-the-fact payroll, and 1099s, instead of dealing with the complex systems like Quickbooks and Creative Solutions. The software should allow corrections based on the client's requirements and generate payroll tax returns and 1099s.

I work in a CPA firm.

We currently use Creative Solutions accounting software to do write-up and after the fact payroll and 1099s.

Creative Solutions contacted us and told us that in March they will no longer support our product and they are replacing it with something different.

People in the field of accounting who have switched over say it's difficult to set up and not good for after the fact payroll and 1099s.

So we are searching for a product for write-up, after the fact payroll and 1099s.

We thought Qucikbooks would work for us but we have run into issues. It's hard to do after the fact payroll.

We have to go into payroll setup instead of a straightforward method. Then we have to post liabilities which is difficult because it's easy to change a date.

It's too complex.

There needs to be something very simple that lets us enter in not what the system says is correct but what the client did and create payroll tax returns and 1099s.

There would be a huge market for this because everyone is looking for this but they need it before March.
