Startup Idea: Smart Traffic Light Navigator App

Startup idea to build a GPS-based app that learns and understands the rhythm of traffic lights, allowing users to optimize their routes based on fewer red lights, thus averting known areas of traffic congestion.

I always wonder if there will be someone to step up and create a consumer side solution to the problem of terrible stoplights. I constantly find myself sitting at multiple red lights all in a row at the end of the night, as no cars pass by. I was thinking that there could be a way to solve this, by creating an app that automatically routes the user's gps based on the rate in which the lights switch. Some lights are always referred to as "terrible", so hopefully this app would highlight these problem traffic areas and give the user the ability to bypass them all, even in new areas. I looked for as many solutions as I could find, and found zero online.
