Startup Idea: Secure Data Recording App for Human Service Agencies

Startup idea to develop a tablet-compatible app for secure and efficient data recording in Human Service Agencies. The app would allow staff to track client behaviors, customize data recording pages and keep detailed notes and comments securely.

I worked at a Human Service Agency that tracked behaviors of all their clients. This task was done on paper and as a result, papers would inevitably get lost or destroyed. Additionally, comments about clients, left by staff for the following shift, were also written on paper.

Recording all this data on paper, in an unsecured area also created a privacy issue, where confidential information could be exposed. Furthermore, this Human Service Agency had iPads at all residential locations.

So, my idea is to create an app that is compatible with tablets that has a secure login for employees of similar companies, where they can customize data recording pages, and keep detailed notes and comments on all clients. The focus would be on security, since so many threats to data security exist today. I did not when I worked there.
