Startup Idea: Cover Letter Generator for Job Applications

Startup idea to create a software that generates personalized cover letters. Users can pre-load blurbs about selected skills into a library and the software will compile them into a complete letter. Optionally, the software can also auto-fill company-specific information (address, HR head, etc.) pulled from online resources.

As a student, I worked a lot of co-op jobs. Writing cover letters was the most time consuming part of the process. I thought it would be great to have a cover letter generator that builds cover letters based on different skills selected (i.e. leadership, goal-oriented, teamwork). You would load different skill related blurbs about yourself, save them to a library and then select what you need to make the covering letter. It would be great if the software could pull the company info you need for a covering letter from online for you (ie. address, name of the head of HR, etc.).
