Startup Idea: Wood Analysis and Prediction Software

Startup idea to develop a portable technology that allows woodworkers to digitally analyze the internal condition of a tree, estimate how it will dry, identify potential fissures, and generate a simulation of how the wood will look when milled, all before it is cut down. This would be greatly beneficial for those in the woodcraft industry, especially those involved in the manufacture of boxes and furniture.

i work in the wood craft industry.typycally i manufacture boxes and furniture .i use alot of wood and alot of times i would even go and cut down trees and then mill them . a problem that i face in doing this is you can never really know what the wood would look like inside what condition it is in ,how well it will dry ,if it would have fessures ect.so if their was a technology that i could carry with me to analize the tree digitally map the growth rings and knots ,crotches etc .do a moister anlizer and anything else that would help then take that info gathered and feed it into the programing in to the lap top or pc get the analization of the wood and a possible example of how the wood would turn out when milled that being shets or as boards this gould even be used at lumber mills and yards.
