Startup Idea: Versioning Software for Video Production

Startup idea to develop a versioning software capable of handling and managing different versions of project elements in a video production project. It should enable import of versions as they are created, and maintain a record of all changes to show clients their past modifications.

I worked with a video production lab producing promotional videos and Just in Time Training. When working with the client and within our team, we generate multiple passes of the storyboards, pre-viz, video, etc. There are times when it can become difficult to maintain versioning, especially with a difficult client who doesn't know what they want.

I would like to have a versioning software where I can create a project and list the elements in the project:(example)

Then, for each of the project elements, I could specify a folder/import the versions as they are created and the program manage them for me. So when a client tells me to change the background to blue for the hundredth time, I can show them every instance where they had done it previously.
