Startup Idea: File Syndication Software for Product Content Submission

Startup idea to develop a software that can automate the process of transforming product data to suit the specific requirements of different retailers. The software should accept data in Excel or XML format and syndicate it to the desired format, saving time from manual conversions.

I work in IT/Marketing. In order to submit product content to different market places like online and physical retailers, I have to take large quantities of data and format them for each retailer individually. This is rather time consuming. Most different retailers accept different file types and require different core marketing attributes. It would be nice to have a software that could accept all of my data in an Excel or XML file and syndicate it into the different formats. It sounds simple, and I have seen a lot of companies claiming to do this, but I have not found a solution yet. "File syndication" is the search term I most commonly use as it is the accepted terminology. Right now, I convert my data manually.
