Startup Idea: Unified Mortgage Document and Metadata Management System

Startup idea to create a single piece of software that can store documents and loan metadata together, to simplify the task of navigating through different systems in a mortgage company's post closing department. It aims to resolve inefficiencies from handling separate systems and eliminate instances of conflicting information.

I work in the post closing department of a mortgage company. We store loan data in Encompass and actual documents in Paperless. The redundancy is sometimes convenient when one system or the other has issues, but most of the time it's inconvenient to navigate two totally separate systems and there's often no way to resolve conflicting information. I'm not in charge of deciding what tools we use, so maybe there's something I don't know, but I really wish we had a single piece of software that stored documents and loan metadata together.
