Startup Idea: Greenhouse Plant Maturity Tracking Software

Startup idea to develop a software program for greenhouse workers that can track plant maturity. The software would include a database of various plant types and their growth cycles, enabling users to enter the type and quantity of plant they are planting and easily track when their crops will be ready for sale. The program would also feature a forecasting option for more efficient crop planning.

I work in a greenhouse and it would be very helpful to have a software program that can track plant maturity.

For example: If a plant takes 13 weeks to reach full maturity I would like to have something pre-programmed so that I could simply enter the type of plant I am planting and the quantity and easily track when my crops will be available to sale.

This would be especially helpful if a forecasting option was available.

Example: If I needed 300 roses ready for Valentines day, I would like to know exactly when they should be planted.

This type of software with a large database would take a lot of guess work and research out of deciding when to order/ plant/ and make plants available.
