Startup Idea: Collaborative Communication and File Management Software for Academic Labs
I work as a Graduate Research Assistant in an academic laboratory. I specifically work on studies that involve data collection, analyses, and writing results.
In my position, I have to collaborate with mentors and other staff members. Unfortunately, it's hard for us to effectively keep track of all of our communications and the files that are passed back and forth between us. Existing productivity software is just too bloated to provide simple messaging and file tracking.
The software would need to be available on desktop or laptop computers. It should be able to access external storage. It should provide real-time messaging capabilities on the same ethernet.
Yes, I would pay for this software because it'd improve our productivity.
The software would effectively sandbox and collect all of our communications and current files in one place. Therefore, it'd be much easier for us to keep track of these files and their versions.
