Startup Idea: Customer Interaction Notes System for Banking Software

Summary for idea #1646
Startup idea to develop an add-on feature for banking software to log notes about customer interactions. The feature allows bank employees to add comments and observations about customer's requests, sentiment, potential leads, etc. Any employee accessing the customer's profile could then see these notes for greater context and improved customer service.

I work in a national bank, it's a very prestigious and advanced bank when it comes to technology.

However, the software that is used to track customers and their money, transactions, accounts, etc is missing a key element. That key element is a notes system for the employees that interact with the customers.

As an example, if John Smith comes in to the bank today and asks for a print out of his checking account statements for the past two months, I log that John came in and I can actually do the printing, but I can not leave a note telling anyone else who accesses his account in our system that "John came in today to have statements printed. We talked about the vacation out of country he will be taking next year."

This is a huge pain point because what if John Smith came in and was angry at us for something. Or what if I tried to upsell him on another product but he said he would think about it and did not want me to follow up. Someone else who works with him in the future needs to know about these events!

The software at this bank is very advanced as it's connected to the customers' debit and credit cards, but to not have a notes system is a HUGE inconvenience.
