Startup Idea: Advanced Coastal Modeling Software

Summary for idea #1668
Startup idea to develop a superior coastal modeling software that can accurately modify marine and terrestrial bathymetry, utilize time step sequencing data, and incorporate events like tidal and storm surges that affect bathymetry. The software should be user-friendly and not require extensive rescripting.

I am a coastal science engineer, I work frequently with Deltares/ Delft3d. While they are developing software to make replicating coastal modeling systems more accurate, there needs to be a superior software. Mike21 is also being used, but is just in the foundation stages, and not "up to speed" enough with local changes, or advancement.

Overall, I need a software that would allow me to alter bathymetry, both marine, and terrestrial, utilize accurate data for time step sequencing, and incorporate tidal and storm surge events that influence the bathymetry.

I would pay up to $1500 for a license to a software that could tackle these features, but if the software was user-friendly, and I did not have to alter myself through re-scripting of the software. I have attempted to use Delft3D for months now, I have used terms such as "merging grids? "merging bathymetry" "nesting grids" "nesting multiple grids" :nesting multiple bathymetries". etc.
