Startup Idea: Excel Report Automation from CSV for Accounting Applications

Startup idea to develop a GUI-based software that simplifies the process of generating Excel reports from exported '.csv' files in accounting applications. This software would eliminate the need for manual input and the use of complicated Excel Macros, offering user-friendly functionality while complying with IT security restrictions.

I am constantly having to make reports in Microsoft Excel based on data in a 3rd party application. This typically involves hand typing numbers from an accounting application into Excel. Depending on the size of the report this can be very time intensive.

Several of the accounting applications can export ".csv" files and I have written several Excel Macros to automate portions of the calculations. These macros are kind of clunky and not user friendly. It would be much better to have some type of GUI based form for Excel to auto-generate reports from exported ".csv" files.

Despite being clunky to use, this is made more difficult by the IT department cracking down on running Macros due to the threat of malware.
