Startup Idea: Startup Idea for Efficient Workplace Management System
I work in a consulting firm where we offer market intelligence and technology commercialization services to our clients. We are a small team that varies between 7-15 member based on the number of ongoing project. Additionally, our accounts department is handled by a 3rd party that sends in 1-2 people into the office about 15 days a month. Our entire team is pretty disorganized w.r.t. communication, document tracking and archiving
Over the last 2 yrs, we have tried using slack, asana etc to streamline processes and output. Specifically, I would say our problems are:

Communication: We tried slack - but people ended up using it to kill time and chat about personal matters more than work - would there be a way to track relevance of conversations without encroaching privacy?

Reports: Through a project's life we end up with multiple copies of the report document (word or ppt). There is no centralized database to store the final copy of the document or to identify which one is required - other than to figure out by opening the document

Training: Despite having how to documents that are shared by new employees, there is a lot of time spent training new hires. How about a software that allows you to customize & present the proper way to do a task - add to it interactive case studies/examples for live training.

Technology Platform: We do scouting for new technologies across various segments. While there are platforms that are "tech exchanges", these have failed to live up to requirements.
