Startup Idea: Automated Chart Generation from PDF to PowerPoint

Startup idea to develop a tool that automates the process of creating a pie chart of portfolio current day values in PowerPoint from a PDF client statement. The tool would extract relevant data, calculate percentages, and generate a pie chart based on the client's current holdings divided into sectors, thereby reducing manual work.

I work in a small financial advisory office. One of my duties is to create pie charts in PowerPoint from client statements, based on their portfolio's current day values. All of these have to be manually entered in, and there is no way to simply copy and paste. In addition, all of the percentages have to be calculated out. I would love to have a script that I could save a PDF version of a client statement, and then have that script run a program to input that information into PowerPoint and automate the pie chart. It would need to list all of the client's current holdings shown by name, divided by their sectors (growth, international, etc), and then list the current day's value. In addition, it would auto input the percentage of each sector. I would pay for this! It would automate a large function of my job. I have not, I believe there is a way to write a script for this, but I do not know how to write scripts. I have dabbled around looking for solutions on the internet, but for now I just manually enter all the information.
