Startup Idea: Customized Educational Institute Management Software
I am the Program Director for a large company in Dallas, TX that runs Technology classes for students grades PreK - 12th grade, as well as classes for adults.
To date, I have not been able to find a client/project management software that offers the features I need, integrated scheduling & client tracking, e-mail campaigns, organizing clients based upon their interests (by tags, perhaps) so that I can readily update the relevant clients on our upcoming classes.
Some of the features I need are included in things like Basecamp, Planscope, etc. However they are lacking core features that would help streamline and dramatically enhance our productivity leading to increased profits and an expanded business coverage area.
The ideal software would allow me to have an advanced Calendar function (similar to Google Calendar) that was integrated with Client and Project tracking. Mass e-mail features that would allow me to sort and send e-mails to the appropriate clients. A section that would allow me to manage our employees, assign projects, classes, and tasks to them as well as monitoring their progress, have them check-in (location enabled feature) when they arrive at a class, etc.
Income/Expense tracking would be crucial, run reports to see who is paid and who has not paid, find out projected income, estimates of future expenses based on previous ones.
Basically a software that could offer similar features to existing Client & Project Management Softwares, but greatly expanded features for scheduling, invoicing, expense tracking, employee management, supply management, e-mail campaigns, etc.

I have searched in Google and have found a few solutions that are only about 30% of what I need. I would have to sign up for two or three services in order to accomplish everything that I need to accomplish, and this is just not feasible for many reasons (expensive, lack of integration, different usability and learning curves).
