Startup Idea: Robotic Mobile Security System Startup Idea

Startup idea to develop a mobile, heat-sensing, and remotely controllable robotic security system. The system, akin to a Roomba, would navigate around the interior or exterior of a home detecting potential security threats. A supplementary app could allow the user to manually guide the robot to specific areas.

I work in the office for many hours of the day and don't return home until late at night. I use an Arlo security system to watch over my home. However, it only alerts me of motion when it detects it, which also has a delay when it starts recording the motion. It's also mounted to one spot so it will only monitor the certain angle of the house.

A solution that may bring peace of mind is a robotic security camera that sweeps around the house like a Roomba. It could utilize heat sensing technology and move towards area when it detects heat. A feature that could be added is an app that allows the user to move the robotic security system remotely to specific areas of the house. Similarly, for the exterior of the house, a drone-like camera that sits on the roof and hovers around areas of the house when it detects motion.

The ability to have a mobile and controllable security system would provide peace of mind.
