Startup Idea: Centralized Home Utility Monitoring and Saving System

Startup idea to develop a centralized device software that monitors, reports and provides suggestions on home utility usage including water, gas, and electricity. The system should be smart enough to guide users on efficient usage, insulation placement suggestions and alert about high power consumption devices.

It would be nice to have a centralized device that monitors and reports your home's total utility usage and gives suggestions on how to save on energy bills, where to put insulation, inform end users of high power usage devices, etc. The system could have multiple sensors for water, gas, and electric. Zones could be setup by the end user or maybe through some automated method.
