Startup Idea: Inclusive Input System for Computer Users with Disabilities

Summary for idea #1781
Startup idea to develop a comprehensive software for people with disabilities, allowing multiple types of inputs, like eye-tracking and voice commands, simultaneously to operate a computer. The software would be compatible with popular programs like web browsers, Microsoft Office, and Google documents. The idea also involves including a trial version to the software.

I am required to work on a computer for numerous hours a day regardless of whether I am physically able to operate the computer in a normal and pain free fashion. I routinely use a program that allows me to use a controller to operate my computer and at times I am forced to use my voice to control my computer. These programs are tedious and I am not able to use them together. It would be really nice for people like me who have disabilities that make it nearly impossible to use normal input methods to control a computer to have a program that tracks say eye movements and you can look at an item and give it direction on what you want it to do, in addition to allowing other forms of input. Currently as far as I have found there are accessibility programs that only allow one form of input and they do NOT work together which can be quite frustrating and time consuming. Yes! I would most definitely pay for software that allowed multiple types of input in order to facilitate the operation of my computer in a much more efficient manner. I would also expect a trial version of the software that worked for say 7 days to make sure that the software worked on my system and fit my needs. Due to the number of people using computers and technology, I know there are numerous people in the world who would pay for and benefit from software like this. There are forums, social media groups, and even local groups dedicated to making technology easier to access for those of us with disabilities. It would be amazing if this software worked with programs such as web browsers, microsoft office, google documents and other very popular and commonly used programs. An example of how I would love for this program to work is say I need to type a document in word ( this is an impossible task to do in a timely manner unless i dictate what I want to say while someone else types it as I was accustomed to typing 120 wpm easily with 3 mistakes or less and now i cannot type at all.) An on screen keyboard would allow me to look at the letters and perhaps connect them with my eyes so that the computer can see that even if it cannot quite make out what I have said it will still know what to type b/c i've connected the necessary letters with my eyes similar to how people are able to type connecting letters on the android keyboard instead of actually typing each individual letter. This is but one example of many that I can provide of how this software could work.
