Startup idea to develop a software that tracks and provides a list of tax forms submitted to the IRS for each individual. This would help tax professionals ensure they have all necessary documents and reduce unnecessary penalties for missing forms. I work in a tax practice. So often people frequently forget to provide critical information like a 1099R to us, which a year later results in a letter from the IRS and penalties. If there was a software that provided a list of forms for each person that have been submitted to the IRS (since they match forms with names), I would be able to ask them for the information.
