Startup Idea: Simplified Scripting Software for Everyday Tasks
I think the biggest issue for the adoption of things that would make the life of everyday people easier is the difficulty of learning all the skills necessary to make their computers work for them. For example scripts to do certain tasks are great but learning the language syntax behind that is a daunting process for people - even if they aren't old.
I would propose a software that would essentially build scripts for common tasks a computer user might want to have happen that essentially simplifies things for them.
For example, if Joe Layman wants his computer to turn on every day at 7 a.m. provide him a software that essentially works as the middle man that will run the necessary code and all he has to do is input the variables of importance (time to wake up via BIOS or whatever). I imagine you could do that for other things like auto updating for users, a quick and easy start-up browser, or simplifying building a script to get information to users.
There's a lot a computer can do for average people - who as we know will pay a bunch of money for stuff on their phone - that is just a matter of making it more accessible and less "techy" for them. A simplified software based scripting/script-building solution basically. Yes i've looked for automated solutions, and simple ways to build scripts that do tasks, but obviously without coding experience that can be difficult.
