Startup Idea: Enhanced Online Booking Software for Dog Groomers

Startup idea to create an improved online appointment booking software for the dog grooming industry. The software should provide more control to the salon workers over customer accounts and permissions, including flags for specific needs or limitations of each dog. It should also prevent customers from overriding these conditions by creating duplicate accounts.

I currently work in the dog grooming business and feel there needs to be a better software for online booking that favors the workers over customers.

Our industry is completely misunderstood and not taken as seriously as it should. As such, the nature of our job puts us in danger with the current online appointment booking that is available. The power is placed in the customer's hands and we are at their mercy once they hit book.

The ideal solution would be for salon workers to have more control over customer accounts and permissions. If a dog is unfit for our salon, the owner should not be allowed to book as per an option selected by the groomer. If a dog does better on weekdays, an option should be available for that. Owners should also not be able to create new accounts to override this. It would be great if within the software, it looks for duplicate names, phone numbers or email addresses.

In conclusion, a better appointment booking software is needed for the dog grooming world. One that is fair to the workers and doesn't cause unneeded stress for everyone involved.
