Startup Idea: Community Gaming App Development

Startup idea to develop an application validating student's idea that connects video gamers to a community of players of the same game. The app should enable users to locate available players, enable chat, and foster a dynamic, interactive gaming environment.

I am a student who plays video games fairly often. However, it is often boring playing alone. I think an app should be created to create a community playing the same game, so they people can play together. For example, a Call of Duty application that links people together. You can open the app on your phone to see who is available at the current time or you can chat with others. This would be helpful to keep games from becoming boring.
