Startup Idea: Insect Detection and Tracking for Botanical Footage

Startup idea to develop an algorithm or software that will analyze countless hours of plant footage to detect and track the movement of insects, particularly bees. It aims to automate the time-consuming manual process. The goal is to identify which plant is most desirable for a bee.

Imagine that you have countless hours of footage of plant closeups. You want to count the number of times a bee (or other insect) visited the plant and perhaps mark the time. Currently this has to be done bu manually watching hours upon hours of footage and it is very difficult. The plants are relatively motionless so what is needed is to detect moving objects and whether they land on plants. (Remember these are close ups)

The goal is to find which plant is more desirable for a bee.
