Startup Idea: Food Waste Management and Prediction Software

Startup idea to develop a software that helps in tracking and predicting food sales, with an aim to reduce waste in restaurants, especially after peak hours. The software would help to visualize sales trend which could convince the management to alter their prepping routines and reduce food wastage.

I work in a kitchen and every night we throw out so much food. Us workers want to give some to a homeless shelter but the corporate bosses will not allow and we just throw it in the garbage.

We try and tell the manager we shouldnt be cooking so much late in the night but he wants us to keep everything stocked until 8pm. If we had some sort of software that showed how much are sales slowed down after 8 maybe that would help.

Personally I would not pay for it, but my company might.
