Startup Idea: Mobile Number Migration Software for Indirect Sales Agents

Startup idea to develop a software solution that simplifies internal migrations of phone numbers for indirect sales agents. The system would facilitate movement of clients' numbers, especially from prepaid to postpaid and vice versa, reducing time spent on the process and enhancing customer conversion rate.

I work in a mobile phone sales environment and yesterday had a very frustrating experience over an hour with a specific carrier so that I could move her number from prepaid to post paid. This was a pretty inefficient use of my time and of the clients as well as being super stressful especially after I had spent the time working to convince her to make the move.

A software that would make internal migrations of phone numbers that indirect sales agents could use would be wonderful. Right now if I have a client changing from for instance AT&T prepaid to Verizon postpaid I can do it easily and have them out the door quickly.

BUT if I switch them from for instance Verizon prepaid to postpaid or from Boost to Sprint, it's very difficult to get their numbers moved and most people really want to keep their phone numbers.

This ease makes clients more likely to make the switch to postpaid plans AND gets more money for the carriers and better coverage for the clients. I haven't - I just have to call the carrier and work with them or direct the client to do so.
