Startup Idea: Cycling Shop Bike Fitting Optimization Software

Startup idea to develop a time-saving app/system for cycling shops. The software would use the camera of a phone/tablet to measure body positioning, analyze pedal stroke, and input various personal and bike-related details to provide a precise and efficient bike fitting service.

I work in a cycling shop that offers bike fittings.

We spend too much time on bike fittings fine tuning to get the exact right fit.

I would pay for software that saves time for us to fit a customer and still get a quality bike fit, then that would put more time back in our hands to work with the customer on accessories for their bike or other sales and bike fittings. Plus it would add perceived value to the service.

An app that could use the camera of a phone or tablet to measure the body positioning of a cyclist getting fitted for a bike.

This would include the options to put in the rider's height, arm length, leg length, sex, style of riding, and bike frame size.

It would also be able to analyze a rider's pedal stroke to make sure the knees and hips are in good alignment. This would eliminate extra time spent fine tuning and physically adjusting multiple parts when performing a bike fitting on a client.
