Startup Idea: Nutritional App for Diabetics & Fitness Enthusiasts

Startup idea to develop a nutritional tracking app tailored for diabetics, weight loss, body builders and fitness enthusiasts. The app would allow users to enter nutritional information directly or via label scanning, provide consumption countdown for nutritional goals, make meal suggestions, record glucose levels, types of insulin, and generates detailed reports.

a nutritional app to A nutritional app for diabetics: Goal: an app where you can enter specific nutritional information from labels and get a live countdown of what you can continue to eat over the span of the day to meet your nutritional goals for both type 1 and type 2 diabetics. (this would also work for weight loss, body building, general fitness, anyone on a kidney disease diet) and would keep your body in check.

1. Entering nutritional information via direct input or by scanning a product label. (the information could come from a database you build and then charge a monthly fee for use. (more about this another time)
2. Based on the information entered the app could also make suggestions based on the RDA and what information has already been entered. The app could use the food information database to come up with suggestions for future meals.
3. Person could add in their glucose count with meal information for a more detailed suggestion along with the amount of insulin and type of insulin (to be used in any reports generated)
4. A reports area where all information within certain dates can be printed out or sent via email to doctors, trainers, etc. Two types of people this would benefit the most are diabetics and people with renal problems who may also be on dialysis.

I have other options for this idea as well as cross platform apps which could share the database for monthly fees. I also have marketing and sales information with forecasting.
