Startup Idea: Work Schedule Notification Application
I work for a major electronic retailer as an entry level employee. I have worked with this company for over 3 years and consistently have troubles with scheduling updates. One of the most prominent issues is when managers change our work hours without notifying the specific employee.
Here is my proposal. I would like to see an application that can link employees to an electronic schedule where everyone's work hours are entered and kept. Any alterations done by management causes the system to send an alert to the specific employee to let them know there is a schedule change. I'd gladly pay a hefty fee for a system like this. Yes, there is no solution to this problem. Our company's system is solely based off of poor attempts at communication between multiple people and it just does not work. I think all companies should look into this in some way.
