Startup Idea: Deli Inventory Management Software

Startup idea to develop a software that aids deli managers in accurately determining inventory needs, reducing overstock, minimizing waste, and preventing stock shortages.

I am the manager of a deli department in a grocery store. I think that with software, I could be helped in finding a new way of ordering to where I don't order too much. The problem is, I will order too much and get too much overstock and therefore too much to throw away. But then, if I cut back, I somehow end up with not enough and the customers end up unhappy or shopping somewhere else. It feels as though I can't win.
